My client is a Tier 1 contractor based in Northumberland, who is currently looking for a Sub Agent on a 6 month contract with possible extension.
Responsibilities for the Sub Agent:
Knowledge and experience of railway stations, PCC platforms desirable, experience as CRE desirable.
Project Management: Oversee the planning and execution of railway construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all site activities comply with health and safety regulations. Promote a safety-first culture among the workforce to minimize accidents and injuries.
Workforce Supervision: Manage site staff and subcontractors, ensuring tasks are allocated effectively and work is completed according to project plans. Conduct regular site meetings and safety briefings.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including contractors, local authorities, and the public. Communicate project progress and address any concerns or issues that arise.
Quality Control: Monitor construction and maintenance work to ensure it meets the specified design standards, and implement quality control processes to maintain high standards of workmanship.
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports, financial records, and compliance certificates. Ensure all documentation is available for audits and stakeholder review.
Resource Management: Manage the allocation of machinery, materials, and other resources to ensure the efficient operation of the site. Forecast resource needs and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
Environmental Compliance: Ensure all site activities comply with environmental regulations and best practices. Implement measures to minimize the environmental impact of construction activities, including waste management and noise control.
Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans for the site. Train staff in emergency procedures and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness for incidents and accidents.
Continuous Improvement: Continually assess site operations to identify areas for improvement. Implement changes to processes and practices to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve safety and quality outcomes.
Requirements for the Sub Agent:
Previous experience in Rail/Station or Highways Experience
Degree educated in an engineering discipline OR equivalent experience
CSCS card
Able to produce and explain accurate plans and drawings
