A Good Secondary School based in Waltham Forest is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This Good secondary school located in the borough of Waltham Forest, are looking to recruit a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. The school has the highest expectations and ambitions for every student. Due to the popularity of the school, each year their intake is increasing with the view to have reached 1050 students on roll from September 2025.

The school has great public transport links nearby with a tube station within a 5-minute walk from the school. The roles are to start in September and will be for the full academic year.

Graduate Teaching Assistant

As well as joining a very successful school, you will also become part of a fantastic department. You will be working alongside a very supportive team who work very hard to ensure that each and every student is encouraged to reach their individual potential. You will be required to provide support, at an outstanding level, for pupils, teachers and the school in order to raise standards of achievement for all pupils. You will be working with a group of children across all subject areas, however a specialism in Maths and/or Science would be beneficial. You will have the opportunity work very closely with the SENDCO and class teachers to ensure that all children are given the required support to ensure they are reaching their individual goals. They would require you to be able to commit for the full academic year. If you are looking to explore the world of education before completing your teaching qualifications, this is a great opportunity for you.

The right applicant for this Graduate Teaching Assistant position will:

Be Degree qualified (Maths or Science would be preferable)
Be keen to go on to complete your teaching qualification
Have a passion for helping young people excel
Have experience working with secondary school aged students (Preferable)The role is to start in September and will be for the full academic year.
