Job Overview:
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Structures Section Engineer to join the Structures SL5S team. This role involves managing and overseeing a dedicated section of works, focusing on reinforced concrete structures, and coordinating a team that includes Site Engineers and subcontractors. The role requires technical proficiency, organizational skills, and leadership ability to ensure quality and adherence to project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Coordination: Collaborate with designers to resolve technical issues and identify clashes.
Project Management: Organize and control resources, including materials (concrete, rebar), equipment, and workforce. Oversee forecasting, ordering, delivery, and outcome tracking.
Documentation and Communication: Draft correspondence with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients. Communicate task ownership and outcomes clearly, providing guidance and direction as needed.
Process Management: Develop, review, and brief teams on Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and project sequences.
Quality Control: Manage quality inspections, complete Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Records Plans (QRPs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and Field Change Requests (FCRs).
Permit Management: Issue and brief permits as required.
Required Skills and Experience:
Civil Engineering Background: Previous experience with reinforced concrete structures.
Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Project.
Certifications: Valid CSCS card.
Other Requirements: Must hold a valid UK driver's license.
