Overview
We are hiring a Mechanical Fitter for a contract role focusing on the assembly and fitting of sewage infrastructure as per engineering designs. The work involves challenging environments, including confined spaces, to ensure the precise assembly of stormwater management systems. This role is ideal for experienced professionals in the water or industrial sectors with a valid CSCS card.
About the Client

Responsibilities
* Mechanical Assembly: Assemble and fit 300–400 cast iron pipes to sewage tanks as part of stormwater management systems.
* System Integration: Connect components to pumping stations and reinforced concrete boxes (RCBs).
* Technical Skills:
* Work with nuts, bolts, flanges, and apply correct torque settings.
* Interpret and follow P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) for precise assembly.
* Challenging Environments: Perform tasks in confined spaces and at heights when required.
* Quality & Safety:
* Ensure secure fittings and connections that meet stringent safety standards.
* Maintain accuracy and efficiency in assembling infrastructure per design schematics.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with a dedicated team to deliver projects on schedule.
The Person
* Qualifications & Certifications:
* A valid CSCS card is mandatory.
* Experience:
* Prior experience in the water or industrial sectors.
* Previous work in water treatment or sewage infrastructure projects is advantageous.
* Attributes:
* A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in challenging conditions.
The Offer
* Position: Mechanical Fitter (Contract)
* Pay Rate: £20–25 per hour (Outside IR35)
* Location: Worcestershire
* Contract Length: 6 months, with potential extensions
* Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (30-minute break)
