Art & Design Teacher – Hereford

TeacherActive is proud to be working in partnership with a mainstream secondary school based in Hereford. The school provides a high standard of education that helps each student achieve their future goals.  

The full-time role starts in November 2024 and the school is looking to interview potential candidates within the next month. If successful you would be working across KS3 and KS4 delivering Art & Design and supporting in other creative subjects. Your role is to help students achieve excellent results in the subject, whilst following schemes of learning. The ability to cover Design and Technology at Key Stage 3 isn’t essential but is highly desirable.

For the right candidate, the role will be extended for the rest of the academic year.

The Senior Leadership Team and the Head of Department will offer excellent support and will provide an encouraging and supportive environment.

Applicants need to have the following:

QTS
Experience teaching Art & Design up to KS4
Excellent classroom management
A creativity for teaching innovative and engaging lessons using a variety of materials available
A real desire to make a positive difference to the pupils that you work with
Instructors are also encouraged to apply as well as educators working towards QTLS.
*Rate of pay for this role will be dependent on experience and qualifications

Successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure and provide at least 2 educational based references to be considered for this role
