Job Description: Deputy Head of Physical Education

Salary:
£180 - £215 Per day
Qualifications:
Good honours degree or equivalent, Qualified Teacher Status
Job Duties:
- Assist the Head of Physical Education in the overall management and development of the department
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Physical Education lessons to students
- Support the implementation of the school's Physical Education curriculum
- Lead and coordinate extracurricular sports activities and events
- Monitor and track student progress and provide feedback to students, parents, and colleagues
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to Physical Education within the school
Required Qualifications:
- Good honours degree or equivalent
- Qualified Teacher Status
Education:
- Degree in Physical Education or related field
- Teaching qualification
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in Physical Education
- Experience in a leadership or management role within a school setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- In-depth understanding of the Physical Education curriculum
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire students and colleagues
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- Proficient in using technology to enhance teaching and learning
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Education or Physical Education
- Coaching qualifications in a specific sport
Working Conditions:

- Full-time position with occasional weekend or evening responsibilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
