AWE is currently looking for enthusiastic Craft Machinists to carry out a wide range of craft machining operations on new, cutting-edge equipment, in the manufacture and development of production and trials components to support the business' Mission Statement.

Package - £27,420 - £39,060 dependant on skills and experience plus allowances

To be considered for this role you must have a recognised apprenticeship and NVQ Level 2 minimum.
Responsibilities outlined below are not exclusive, but there is an expectation you will operate a variety of machine tools such as computer numerical code (CNC), 5axis/3axis lathes and milling machines, precision grinders, and welders.
What You'll Do:
Deliver the production of high precision components to meet the required customer specification.
Maintain safe operation of machine tools and all other related equipment.
Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality and be a great team player.
Multi-task across multiple machine tools and manufacturing areas.
Undertake route cause analysis for problem solving.
Support and participate in continuous improvement activities.
Act as a role model and mentor peers and apprentices as required by the business area.
Who You'll Be:
Siemens Programming experience is advantageous, but not essential.
Good understanding of turning, setting, and operating.
Knowledge of turn/mill is desirable.
Carry out 6s activities in line with business area requirements.
To undertake and maintain all training in your core role and linked disciplines.
Understand and execute compliance with necessary procedures in the execution of the role.
Participate in task review planning activities and route card generation where required.
Contribute to the drafting of safety and operational documentation as required by the business area.
