About Us: Dunbar Education is a leading recruitment company dedicated to connecting skilled professionals with meaningful roles in educational settings. We are currently partnering with a dedicated SEN school that is seeking an enthusiastic and committed SEN HLTA to join their team.

Role Overview: We are looking for a highly motivated SEN HLTA who can provide exceptional support to students with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, able to work collaboratively with colleagues, and possess a genuine passion for enhancing the educational experience of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

Work effectively both as a member of a team and independently.
Demonstrate a strong awareness and understanding of the diverse needs of students with special educational needs, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Tailor support strategies to meet individual student needs, creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Cover lessons for absent colleagues at short notice.
Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents, both verbally and in writing.
Support the teaching and learning process with a positive and proactive attitude.Requirements:

A good level of education with strong literacy and numeracy skills.
Excellent communication skills.
A positive attitude and drive.
Previous experience in a similar SEN setting, with a proven ability to understand and address the unique challenges faced by SEN students.
Must hold a DBS on the update service.
Experience in covering lessons in an HLTA role is desirable.Why Join Us?
