We’re excited to be recruiting for a prestigious client who is looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join their team at one of the most elegant country house hotels in the Cotswolds. With 4 AA Red Stars and 3 AA Rosettes, this is an incredible opportunity to work in a beautiful, traditional yet friendly environment.
The Role: As Sous Chef, you’ll be working alongside the Head Chef in a busy, high-end kitchen, helping to create exciting and delicious dishes for the hotel’s 3 AA Rosette restaurant. You’ll need to be a hands-on chef who can lead from the front, develop your team, and maintain the high standards that this establishment is known for.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing fresh, high-quality dishes
Leading a section during service
Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met
Writing allergen matrixes and completing daily kitchen audits
Managing the kitchen team and rotas
Ordering stock and managing inventory
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in a fine-dining or rosette-awarded kitchen
Strong leadership skills and the ability to work under pressure
Passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and creative cooking
Excellent knowledge of allergens and food safety regulations
What’s On Offer:
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 per annum plus service charge (around £3,600 per year)
