The Role – Berry Product Manager

Fresh People are currently recruiting for a Part Time Berry Product Manager for a Fresh Produce Grower and Importer of Berries supplying to the UK retailers based near Maidstone in Kent . In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of berry products throughout quality and production.

Suitable Candidate

If your available to work 9-2pm Monday – Friday and have previously had experience working in the Fresh Produce industry ideally with berries within a production role or as part of a quality team then this role would predominantly suit your skillset. This could also suit working mums due to working hours around school times.

The role

* Assume responsibility for all aspects of product management for soft fruit

* Inspect the products upon arrival into the facility, highlight risk areas and shelf life performance

* Manage and monitor product residencies reporting findings supporting solutions to minimise residencies and maximise quality for the end customers

* Build relationships with the 3rd party packing site

* Maintain high quality supply to customers keeping efficiency high.

* Assume responsibility for collecting samples as requested

* Monitor and analyse production results

* Respond to any queries coming through from customers

* Stock allocation
