Job Title: SEND Learning Support Assistant / SEND LSA

Salary: £90 - £120 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND school in South Birmingham, supporting their recruitment for a SEND Learning Support Assistant / LSA.  The setting focuses on creating a solution focused approach to support pupils in overcoming social, educational and emotional barriers. 

The school is seeking a passionate team player for this short-term role, with the potential for it to become a long-term placement for the right SEND Learning Support Assistant/LSA. The successful candidate will be dedicated to learning as much as possible about each child and actively promoting independence and belonging.

The position involves working with students aged 5 - 1who have diagnosis of moderate to severe learning difficulties, autism (ASD), and profound and multiple learning difficulties. The ideal candidate will be someone who can use their initiative and confidentiality take control of situations.

The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant / SEND LSA will have:

Experience working with children with additional needs / disabilities
Experience working with students with moderate to severe learning difficulties.
Level 2 or 3 CACHE or equivalent (Desirable)
Team-Teach or MAPA qualifications (desirable)
