Control (SI) Engineer
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (based on experience)

A leading design and build contractor is seeking experienced Control (SI) Engineers to join their growing team. Role Overview:
As a Control (SI) Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering automation projects from start to finish. Working independently or as part of a team, you’ll handle all aspects of project delivery—from design and software development to testing and commissioning. Your experience working with UK clients in sectors like Water, Industrial Automation, or Process industries will be crucial to ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of control system projects, including design, software development, testing, and commissioning.
* Software Development: Develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA software using platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Schneider.
* Functional Design: Create and refine Functional Design Specifications (FDS), and manage both factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT).
* Client Interaction: Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of project milestones.
* Commissioning: Work on client sites to carry out system commissioning and final testing.
* Lead Small Projects: Take on leadership roles in smaller projects, collaborating with the Project Manager to meet deadlines.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all designs and project activities comply with health and safety regulations, as well as industry standards.
Skills & Experience:
* Experience: Minimum of 3 years in systems engineering, ideally in control and automation.
* Technical Skills: Strong experience in PLC, HMI, and SCADA software development with at least two manufacturer platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Schneider).
* Protocols Expertise: Familiarity with communication protocols like EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, and Modbus TCP/IP.
* SCADA & VSDs: Experience with SCADA systems and variable speed drives (VSDs) is advantageous.
* Health & Safety: A solid understanding of safe working practices, especially regarding electrical equipment.
