We are currently recruiting for an experienced stakeholder engagement officer to work for our local, government organisation

The role of Stakeholder Engagement Officer will involve:

Conduct thorough stakeholder analysis to identify key individuals, groups, and organisations relevant to infrastructure projects.
Develop and maintain stakeholder maps, assessing their interests, concerns, and influence on the projects.
Develop clear and effective communication plans to disseminate project updates, milestones, and potential impacts to stakeholders.
Ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with local communities, government agencies, NGOs, and other relevant stakeholders.
Organise community events, public consultations, and information sessions to gather feedback and address concerns.
Proactively identify potential issues and concerns raised by stakeholders and develop mitigation strategies.
Work closely with project teams to address and resolve stakeholder issues promptly.
Act as a liaison between stakeholders and internal project teams to ensure alignment with community needs and expectations.
Provide regular updates on stakeholder sentiment and feedback to project managers.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of stakeholder engagement activities.
Conduct regular evaluations and adjust strategies based on feedback and results.The ideal candidate for the role of Stakeholder Engagement Officer will have

Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, preferably within the context of infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of community dynamics, public relations, and environmental regulations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Project management skills and attention to detail.
