Graduate Structural Engineer

Location: Amersham, Buckinghamshire

Role: Monday – Friday, Full-Time

Project Partners are now on the look out for a proactive and positive graduate to come and join a fantastic team here in Amersham as a Graduate Structural Engineer. We are looking for someone who is currently completing their final year in university relating to similar courses and modules.

The role comprises the production of structural calculations and technical drawings in accordance with British Standard design codes, Eurocodes, Building Regulations and Network Rail standards either by hand or by using the appropriate design software for clients, external professionals and regulatory authorities. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to start working in a small and friendly team -you will work alongside a skilled team, providing valuable support and obtaining real hands-on experience.

Candidate Experience:

* Degree in an appropriate ‘built environment’ discipline and working towards membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers, the Institution of Structural Engineers, or similar learned society/professional body.

* Ability to design basic structural members in structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber is desirable.

* Understanding of soil mechanics and familiarity with the Site Investigation process, with particular reference to foundation design.

* Familiarity with proprietary design software.

* Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.

* Basic use of Microsoft Office and other administration software.

* Enthusiastic and personable attitude.

* Good written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to manage own workload within agreed time scales.
