Package Details:

Salary: £25,000 - £26,000 basic
20 days holiday + Bank Holidays

Working hours: Monday to Thursday – 07:30am / 6:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

Childcare and Supervision

Supervise and ensure the safety of children throughout the day.
Assist with basic care routines, including feeding, changing, and nap times.
Maintain a clean and safe environment, checking toys and equipment.
Supporting Learning and Development

Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to promote children’s development.
Encourage independence and support self-help skills such as dressing and feeding.
Provide individual support to children who need extra help.
Observation and Record Keeping

Observe children’s progress and document developmental milestones.
Contribute to progress reports and assessments.
Communication and Parent Interaction

Communicate with parents and carers, providing updates on their child’s day.
Report concerns regarding a child's development or welfare to senior staff.
Supporting Behavior Management

Promote positive behavior and encourage good social skills like sharing and turn-taking.
Address minor conflicts and behavioral issues in a calm manner.
Team Collaboration

Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth nursery operations.
Assist senior staff with planning and organizing activities.
Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization

Ensure cleanliness by sanitizing play areas and toys.
Prepare materials and activities for the children.
Safeguarding and Health & Safety

Follow safeguarding policies and report concerns as needed.
Conduct regular health and safety checks.
Professional Development

Participate in training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Reflect on and improve practice through feedback and supervisions.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

Level 2 Childcare qualification (e.g., Level 2 Diploma in Early Years Education and Care).
GCSEs in English and Mathematics (Grade 4 or above) or equivalent.
Paediatric First Aid certificate (or willingness to complete one).
Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) Essential.
Previous experience in a childcare setting is Essential.
