Job Description:
We are currently seeking a passionate Food Technology Teacher for a secondary school located in Chelmsford. As an Food Tech Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality and engaging lessons to secondary school students to at least GCSE standard.
Job Duties:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Food lessons to students
Assess and evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Manage classroom behaviour to ensure a conducive learning atmosphere
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance
Required Qualifications:
Catering degree or similar subject ideally
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Preferred
Ideally to have completed ITT or have 1+ year experience teaching secondary students
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong knowledge of the English language and literature
Ability to effectively plan and deliver engaging lessons
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in behaviour management techniques
