An opportunity has arisen for an Administrator to join LS Customs Management and support future growth of the business. Responsibilities include assisting the Customs Manager in all aspects of administrative support duties for our small business, as well as working with the wider team on varied tasks in support of our clients. In addition, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn HMRC customs compliance requirements and reporting to allow development of knowledge and skills.

Roles & responsibilities

· Assist the Customs Manager with all administrative tasks within the business.

· Manage generic email inbox and any correspondence received, identifying the correct onward recipient.

· Manage bookings and facilitate the smooth running of training courses.

· Schedule meetings and book rooms / create Teams invites accordingly.

· Ensure month end invoices are completed accurately and on time, including assistance with credit control duties.

· Control and plan social media posts in conjunction with the Communications team.

· Any other business associated with this position.

· Follow the principles of the integrated safety management within LS Customs and any Peterson company or affiliate.

Performance Measure:

· Personal performance against KPI’s.

· Control of work as per instructions, ensuring that everything is accurately completed on time.

· Comply with all of LS Customs Management’s and client processes, and HMRC regulations.

· Client and inter-departmental feedback.

Qualifications and experience:

· Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Administrative role

· Competent in Microsoft Office packages

· Ability to effectively plan and prioritise workload

· Strong communication skills both internally and with external clients

· Minimum Maths & English Standard Grade (or equivalent)

· Experience in tax, customs, logistical or trade compliance administration would be advantageous but not essential
