Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a long term role in a primary school? A mainstream primary school in Sparkhill, Birmingham (B10) is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide support to KS2 children with ASD, ADHD, and other SEN needs.
The Role
You will work closely with the class teacher in providing classroom support to Y4/5 classes on a group and 1:1 basis.
Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support to children within KS2
Use structured learning approaches to help children engage with lessons
Assist with communication and behaviour strategies tailored to individual needs
Implement EHCP strategies to support development and learning
Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environmentWho We're Looking For
Experience working with SEN children (ASD, ADHD, and other additional needs)
A Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2/3 or equivalent) is desirable
Experience working in a school setting
