Electrical Engineer - Lightning Protection & Earthing Contractor

Our client, a leading independent contractor specialising in lightning protection, earthing services, surge protection maintenance, and specialist protection systems. With a mission to provide high-quality, reliable, and innovative solutions to safeguard people and infrastructure from electrical hazards.

They are now seeking an Electrical Engineer with a strong electrical bias and commercial electrical experience to help establish and grow their surge protection department. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on professional to join our team and take a pivotal role in developing this aspect of our business.

Firstly, what's it in for you?

£44,500 - £50,000 PA
Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:00pm, Friday 6:00am - 3:00pm
No weekend working
22 days holiday

Responsibilities

Conduct site surveys to assess surge protection requirements
Install, test, and maintain surge protection systems for commercial and industrial clients
Provide technical advice and solutions to meet customer needs
Collaborate with other departments to integrate surge protection with lightning and earthing systems
Assist in the development of standard operating procedures and best practices for the department
Work closely with clients and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered to high standards
Maintain accurate documentation, including reports and risk assessments
Undertake occasional home-based tasks to support departmental planning and developmentElectrical Engineer - Lightning Protection & Earthing Contractor

Requirements

Proven commercial electrical experience, including the installation of surge protection systems
Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, surge protection, and related safety standards
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
Full UK driving licenseDesirable
