Brief

Electrical Engineer needed for a well-known Facilities Management organisation based in Smethwick who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Electrical Engineer that takes pride in their work.

The successful candidate must hold a recognized Electrical Apprenticeship/NVQ Qualification/City and Guilds or Equivalent and have a keen interest in being an Electrical Engineer. If you have your 2391 Inspection and Test that would be a plus!

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Electrical Engineer will include:

The candidate will be required to have proven previous experience of planned preventative and reactive maintenance of electrical infrastructure systems (single and three phase) in a NHS Environment
The main responsibilities will include effectively performing electrical maintenance of all relevant assets, especially lighting and small power (including stock control), through following a PPM schedule and ensuring compliance in a flexible and efficient manner. There will be a requirement in completing reactive tasks that get raised
Be able to rectify problems where appropriate (following correct procedures)
Identify and report areas and procedures that fail to meet expected standards (Safety, Technical and Environmental)
Carry out appropriate risk assessments before undertaking any work

What experience you need to be the successful Electrical Engineer:

Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship/NVQ Qualification/City and Guilds or Equivalent
18th Edition Electrical Installation Inspection and Testing to BS7671
Experience of working with HTM's
Have experience of PPM and reactive maintenance
Be able to demonstrate previous experience of working on electrical systems
2391 Inspection and Test (Desirable)
MEWP 3A & 3B (Desirable)
