Job Summary
We are seeking a Workshop Manager to oversee our workshop operations. The Workshop Manager will responsible for managing the day-to-day activities, ensuring the smooth running of the workshop, and leading a team of technicians.
General Duties
* Scheduling the fleet vehicle maintenance (42 vehicles) - approximately 7 PMI's and 1 MOT a week, plus any defects.
* Checking daily defects from drivers and scheduling them to be rectified
* Ordering parts and comparing prices
* Booking MOT's
* Ensuring all paperwork is in order for any audits the company may have
* Scheduling the small amount of outside work including tachographs and brake tests
* Maintaining stock levels
* Maintain workshop efficiency and productivity
* Supervise and support workshop staffLiaising with daily coach operartions team and meeting with management when necessary
Requirements
* Previous experience of workshop management
* engineering/Technical background/experience preferably PCV/HGV
* Experience of managing a team
* Self-motivated with a high level of enthusiasm and good communication skills.
* Good organization skills and attention to detail with ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
* Computer literate
* Admin skills
* Full and valid driving licence
Hours of Work
07:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday (with one hour lunch break)
Possible Saturday morning if necessary
28 days holiday including bank holidays
