This role is perfect to work within the local community and closely with struggling families. As a locum Social Worker, you will have the autonomy to manage your schedule, ensuring a healthy work-life balance while engaging in meaningful work. You will be undertaking strength-based assessments, care planning, reviews and safeguarding enquiries within the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act and other legislation, local policies and procedures, to ensure people are safeguarded and their care needs are met. The role includes being on duty regularly across Liverpool – all mileage/expenses are covered.
The council is committed to delivering exceptional support services, and as part of this team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, assessments, and interventions. Your expertise will be pivotal in empowering service users, promoting independence, and enhancing their quality of life.
To excel in this role, candidates must hold a relevant Social Work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. A minimum of two years' post-qualifying experience in a similar setting is essential, you must be able to demonstrate an Excellent control and understanding of the current legalities that apply within your field. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with service users, families, and multidisciplinary teams. You must also understand families and individuals from different backgrounds and complex backgrounds.
