I am looking for a highly competent Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join my client, a company that specialises in designing, manufacturing, and providing custom computing solutions for mission-critical industries such as aerospace, defence, transportation, and industrial automation. This is a hybrid role with the need to be in their office in Fareham three days a week.
The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be a key technical authority, responsible for leading the electrical aspects of projects. You will design and develop AC and DC systems for a variety of sectors, ensuring that the solutions meet all compliance standards. Experience working in highly regulated industries will be invaluable for this Senior Electrical Design Engineer role.
Senior Electrical Design Engineer Package:
Up to £60,000 Dependent on Experience
Hybrid Working 37.5 hours per week

Senior Electrical Design Engineer Responsibilities:
Lead the electrical design process for projects, acting as the design authority for complex systems
Design AC and DC power systems, including low and medium voltage systems, for a variety of industries with strict compliance requirements
Conduct electrical safety assessments
Translate customer requirements into practical and innovative design solutions that meet detailed specifications
Lead the design for manufacture and testing, ensuring all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements
Simulate, prototype, conduct experiments, and analyse test data to validate designs
Generate and review design documentation
Mentor and develop junior engineers within the team
Senior Electrical Design Engineer Requirements:
Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer across a variety of projects and industries, with familiarity in working with stringent compliance standards such as defence
Expertise in designing low voltage DC power and communication circuits, as well as low and medium voltage AC power systems
Experience with electric drawing software, preferably SolidWorks Electrical or similar
At least a HNC/HNC in Electrical Engineering with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
