Build Technicians x 4
Rate: £18-£22 (Ltd Co/Umbrella)
We are looking for candidates that have direct automotive industry experience and understanding of automotive processes. A hands-on engineer who will embrace the company’s cultural & professional business environment and will work directly with our customers and with the suppliers involved to identify, manage and resolve quality/warranty issues in ongoing vehicle programs.
Responsibilities:
* Manufacture of automotive high voltage electrical motor unit assemblies.
* Build low and high voltage assemblies and enclosures for prototypes.
* Able to perform and validate build checklist and isolation test to ensure the unit is safe to integrate to vehicle.
* Able to perform End of Line tests as per the defined test procedure on the unit (not necessarily responsible but able to support with dedicated test engineers)
* Work with in-house engineering team as required to feedback the design improvement.
* Responsibility also includes support building the test rigs as demanded.

* Proactive approach on the challenge and raise the foreseeable issues to improve efficiency.
Technical attributes:
* Excellent automotive engineering experience in the field of automotive electrical build.
* Good understanding of high voltage electrical motors and its EDS design, including fusing, grounding will be advantageous.
* Good understanding of best practices motor assembly and understanding of the vehicle assembly requirements.
* Service loops experience.
* Ability to read and interpret motor build assembly and feedback into supporting DFM, PFMEA work stream.
* Ability to work to a high level of dimensional accuracy and repeatability.
* Knowledge of common connector systems, wire types and sleeving would be advantageous.
* Knowledge of and experience of working to automotive and/or motorsport wiring standards.
* Experience of working with high voltage cables and connectors.
* Experience of end-of-line testing (e.g. Cirris) would be advantage.
* Support effective root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions are implemented for quality issues.
* Good working knowledge of all low-voltage electrical systems within a vehicle platform
