About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a General Hydraulic Operative to join a leading engineering company specializing in hydraulic systems and solutions. This role offers a mix of workshop-based assembly and testing as well as on-site servicing and repairs for a diverse range of hydraulic equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assemble and test hydraulic power units (HPUs) and other hydraulic equipment.

* Assist in pipe fitting and hose manufacture, flushing, and testing.

* Conduct stripping, assessment, and repair of hydraulic components.

* Support the installation of hydraulic systems on customer sites.

* Read and interpret hydraulic schematics and drawings.

* Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

* Maintain ISO9001/45001/14001 quality and safety standards.

* Travel to customer sites across the UK for servicing and repairs, sometimes at short notice.

What We’re Looking For:

* Experience in hydraulic assembly, testing, and repair.

* Understanding of pumps, valves, cylinders, and pneumatic systems.

* Ability to interpret hydraulic schematic drawings.

* Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical approach.

* Customer-facing experience with a proactive and reliable attitude.

* Additional knowledge of fabrication, welding (TIG/MIG), and electrical control systems is advantageous but not essential.
