Job Opportunity: Technical Director - Water Infrastructure Team

Our client is seeking to strengthen their Glasgow office with the addition of a Technical Director to their established Water Infrastructure team.

In the role of Technical Director, you will leverage your expertise to help the team secure and deliver cutting-edge engineering solutions for both local and strategic clients across the UK. This position offers significant career progression opportunities, with no barriers to advancement.

Responsibilities

Cultivate and maintain key relationships with clients at both local and national levels.
Actively participate in winning new projects through effective bid management, proposal development, and scope definition.
Mentor and support junior engineers in their professional development.
Ensure projects are well-resourced, profitable, and aligned with client expectations.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team.

Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
Chartered status with a recognized institution.
Proven experience in design, project management, and bid delivery.
Strong technical background in water and/or wastewater treatment, hydraulics, storage, and collection systems, with knowledge of UK design standards.
Willingness to take on diverse project types and travel for site visits, including international locations if necessary.

What We Offer

Competitive salary: £75,000 - £85,000.
