Job Vacancy: Production Planner – Sittingbourne

Location: Sittingbourne, Kent
Position: Full-time
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 07:30 – 16:00 | Friday, 07:30 – 13:30
Salary: £35,000 to £38,000 per annum
Benefits: 33 days holiday (including Bank Holidays), Pension scheme

Our client, a market leader in the aerospace industry, is seeking a Production Planner to join their team at their Sittingbourne foundry. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced planner to manage production schedules, ensure on-time delivery, and collaborate with internal teams and customers to meet business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

* Achieve Targets: Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production and sales targets are met.

* Customer Relations: Work with customers to resolve issues and maintain 100% on-time delivery performance.

* Production Planning: Plan and adjust production schedules to meet sales targets.

* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with technical, quality, commercial, and production teams to address any issues.

* Arrears Management: Proactively manage and reduce arrears risk.

* Job Routing & Prioritisation: Manage job routing using Aventa and prioritise tasks through the Work to List system.

* Capacity Planning: Support Capacity Capability Planning (CCP) and system development.

* Sales Forecasting: Submit weekly sales forecasts to ensure effective resource planning.

Ideal Candidate:

* Proven production planning experience, ideally in manufacturing or aerospace.

* Understanding of quality systems and operational best practices.

* Experience in supporting and sustaining continuous improvement efforts.

* Strong communicator with problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.

* Able to collaborate across teams and manage customer and supplier relationships
