Warehouse Operative

* Monday - Friday

* Two shift patterns 06:00 – 14:00 and 14:00 – 22:00

* £11.78 - £12.42

A leader in the steel stockholding industry is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative to join their team on a permanent basis (following a successful probation period via agency). You will be responsible for operating gantry cranes, band saws and other machinery to cut steel to customer specifications.

Requirements

* Previous experience in a warehouse setting or as a sawyer is preferred.

* Familiarity with steel processing and handling.

* Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently.

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

* Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

Key Responsibilities

* Operate saws and other machinery to cut steel to customer specifications.

* Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock counts.

* Assist in loading and unloading materials from trucks.

* Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

* Follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies and procedures.

* Collaborate with team members to optimise processing operation.
