FM Estimator – Glasgow – Facilities Management

FM Search & Select Ltd is seeking an experienced FM Estimator to join a leading Facilities Management company based in Glasgow. This role is perfect for a skilled professional with a background in estimating for construction, asset replacement, and FM projects, supporting business growth through accurate cost estimation and competitive pricing strategies.

Package:

* £60,000 - £65,000

* Company car or car allowance

* Monday - Friday, full-time position

* 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Responsibilities:

* Prepare cost estimates for building and asset replacement works, including planned and reactive maintenance.

* Work closely with the estimating, surveying, and procurement teams to develop competitive pricing strategies.

* Analyse client requirements, tender documents, and specifications to create commercially viable estimates.

* Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.

* Conduct site surveys as required to assess project scope and pricing variables.

* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, Construction Act requirements, and CDM Regulations.

* Support contract negotiations by providing detailed cost breakdowns and pricing justifications.

* Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes and cost modelling tools.

Qualifications & Skills:

* Proven experience as an FM Estimator or in a similar cost estimation role within construction or FM services.

* Strong understanding of Hard FM services, including mechanical, electrical, and fabric maintenance.

* Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

* Proficiency in estimating software, Excel, and cost modelling tools.

* Strong commercial awareness and ability to assess financial risks.

* Excellent communication and negotiation skills for engaging with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.

* Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.

* Full UK driving licence – ability to travel to client sites as required.
