Position: SEMH Teacher
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We urgently need a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join our vibrant team as soon as possible!
About Us:
Our school prides itself on creating a supportive and engaging environment. With a bright and colorful recreational area, students can unwind during breakfast club, breaks, and lunch. Our four spacious classrooms are equipped with interactive Smart boards and projectors, ensuring lessons are innovative and engaging for all learners.
The ideal candidate will be confident in managing behavior and creating a nurturing classroom atmosphere, with experience in SEMH settings. They should possess strong skills in lesson differentiation and personalized learning approaches, demonstrating a commitment to supporting students’ emotional and educational development. A passion for helping students overcome challenges and achieve their potential is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead a small class of Key Stage 3 and 4 students (ages 13 and up) in a SEMH setting.
• Implement effective behavioral management strategies to foster a positive learning environment.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of students, recognizing that many are at varying levels of understanding.
• Identify gaps in students’ knowledge and provide tailored support to help them bridge these gaps.
