Job Title: Associate Transport Planner

About the Role:
We are working on behalf of a well-established transport planning consultancy seeking a talented Associate Transport Planner to join their team. The company specializes in delivering innovative and sustainable solutions across transport planning, strategy, and infrastructure development. Key Responsibilities:
·Project Leadership: Manage the development and delivery of transport projects, ensuring timely completion within budget while exceeding client expectations.
·Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong client relationships, understand their needs, and secure future projects by consistently delivering exceptional results.
·Technical Delivery: Prepare and review Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and other planning application reports. Provide expert technical guidance on transport planning and engineering for various development and infrastructure schemes.
·Team Development: Mentor and support junior staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
·Business Development: Contribute to identifying and securing new business opportunities with both existing and prospective clients.
·Quality Assurance: Ensure all project outputs meet or exceed the required standards and client expectations.
Key Requirements:
·A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
·Significant experience in transport planning, engineering, or modeling, with a focus on development and infrastructure schemes.
·Strong proficiency in data collection, analysis, and technical report writing.
·Familiarity with relevant standards and design guidance (e.g., DMRB, Manual for Streets, NPPF, cycling design standards).
·Experience using capacity analysis software such as TRANSYT, PICADY, ARCADY, or LINSIG.
·Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
·Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., CIHT, TPS, CILT) is desirable but not essential.
