Timber & Damp Surveyor. For a busy company working in Kent and south London. A Building or Structures understanding is relevant. £40k to £55k plus fully resourced vehicle and annual bonus. Experienced Timber & Damp Surveyor.
Overview:
* Qualified to at least CSRT qualifications. Certified Surveyor in Remedial Treatment or CSSW, Certified Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing.
* Full driving licence, with no more than 6 points, essential
* Word and Outlook fully computer literate
* Able to visit 3 properties per day to undertake rising damp, condensation or dry rot surveys and inspections.
* Then to type these reports up the same day using templated report forms.
* Working area covers parts of Kent and the south-east.
* Surveys are in mostly private residential homes or rented properties.
* Living within 45-60 minutes’ drive of Orpington.
* Latest damp testing kit plus updated PCA training available.
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
* Organised with attention to detail.
* Good time management, often working alone.
* Construction Industry aware.
* Positive attitude and approach.
* Confidential, reliable, and considerate.
* Presentable and able to speak to clients.
Timber & Damp Surveyor, duties:
* Carry out surveys to locate problems and assess impact.
* Write up reports, backed up with photographic evidence.
* Offer recommendations and courses of action.
* Recording and maintaining accurate records
* Work within Health and Safety at work act of 1974 always and in all working areas.
* Perform any reasonable management instruction within time frame requested.
* Assist in training and mentoring trainee surveyors.

Location: Orpington with site visits in Kent and south London.
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 pa + company funded van + annual bonus
Hours: 09:00 am to 17:00 pm. Monday to Friday
Holiday: 20 plus Bank Holidays
