FB Recruitment Services is working with a well-known event contractor based in Retford seeking a Financial Reporting Officer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the company's overall financial health, including financial planning and bank reconciliations.

You will collaborate closely with various departments to generate financial reports and analyses that align with the company’s needs and objectives, grounded in our core values.

Strong communication skills and teamwork are essential for this role, along with the ability to provide strategic insights that facilitate informed decision-making.

This is a part-time position requiring a minimum of 25.5 hours per week, with flexible working days and hours.

Responsibilities:

* Manage the sales invoicing process, including debt management.

* Collaborate with the Executive Team to prepare and review annual budgets, ensuring alignment with company goals, while creating a monthly financial dashboard to provide insights and track key financial metrics.

* Conduct regular bank reconciliations.

* Prepare and submit VAT, HMRC, and tax documentation in accordance with regulations.

* Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability.

* Maintain and manage utility accounts effectively.

* Work with both internal teams and third parties to identify R&D opportunities.

* Collaborate with all departments to ensure smooth operations, improved efficiencies, and overall effectiveness within the company.

* Stay informed about new legislation relevant to the role.

* Comply with Health and Safety legislation, Codes of Practice, and the company’s Health and Safety Policy.

* Participate in any required training.

* Undertake additional tasks as needed.

Candidate Profile:

* A reliable and trustworthy individual who demonstrates integrity and honesty in managing financial responsibilities.

* Able to handle confidential information regarding the company’s financial status.

* AAT Level 3 qualified or possess equivalent industry experience.

* Experienced with accounting software (Xero preferred).

* Knowledgeable about balance sheets and profit and loss statements.

* A team player who can work well under pressure and take initiative.

* An effective and confident communicator who is enthusiastic and punctual.

* Organized with a keen attention to detail.

* Able to prioritize tasks and adapt flexibly to changing demands.

* Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office applications.

* Task-oriented and self-motivated.
