Job Title: Advanced Practitioner – Child Protection Team

Salary: £40.50 per hour

Contract: Locum

Hours: 36 hours per week

Are you an experienced social worker with a passion for safeguarding children and promoting their welfare? The London Borough of Havering is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practitioner to join our Child Protection Team on a locum basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead complex cases within the Child Protection Team, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children at risk.

Support and mentor social workers, offering guidance and professional development.

Work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and professionals to deliver high-quality child protection services.

Conduct assessments, implement child protection plans, and attend multi-agency meetings.

Ensure compliance with statutory guidelines and council policies.

Requirements:

Social Work England registration is essential.

Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding.

Strong understanding of legislation, procedures, and best practices in child protection.

Ability to manage complex caseloads and work within tight deadlines.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.
