Job Description
This role will include the contribution of process engineering design deliverables to deliver a broad range of engineering consultancy and support services to a variety of Assystem clients.
As a Process Engineer, you'll be involved in the delivery of chemical and process engineering deliverables to a variety of nuclear sector activities. This includes nuclear decommissioning, fusion, nuclear new build or small modular reactor development. In addition to this, support will be required in the preparation of bids and interfacing with customers. You'll support the development of mass balances, process drawings, participate in safety assessments, process descriptions and equipment sizing.
You'll develop your knowledge in chemical engineering within the nuclear sector with a view to developing their role into a Process Engineer and be deployed across several business areas including Decommissioning, New Build and operational nuclear facilities and will report to the Process Engineering team.
Qualifications
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical EngineeringDesirable:
Knowledge of decommissioning
Knowledge of fusion
Knowledge of new build nuclear reactors
Knowledge of small modular reactors
Student member of the IChemE
Summer placement or industrial year experience

Successful Candidate must be a UK Sole National
Successful Candidate must be willing to relocate as part of their rotational Scheme (Relocation Support available) Security Clearance:
The successful applicant must be a UK resident and, due to the nature of the work to be undertaken, applicants will be required to meet this criteria in order to attain a minimum level of BPSS clearance.
