A unique opportunity for a Procurement Officer to join a public sector organisation based in North London. This role is hybrid with 2-3 days per week in the office.

As part of The Barnet Group, Barnet Housing manage Barnet's 13,000 council homes on behalf of Barnet Council. They also work to prevent homelessness and allocate homes to social housing applicants.
Description
· To undertake cost effect market routes for procurements activities.
· Commercial aptitude towards contracts
· Category management
· Analyse and deliver effective tendering process.
· Undertake and coordinating evaluation of submissions
· Communicate within strict time frames with suppliers towards clarification and results.
· Lead on effective selection and evaluation process
· Provide support to the Group Procurement Manager and provide assistance in the
management of transforming contracts on to a digital platform.
· To contribute to the overall improvement of the Procurement systems, assist with
consumable bill validation for landlord supply
Profile
Knowledge through experience of a wide range of procurement activities and commodities including tendering, supplier, and contract management.
Experience within a fast-paced procurement or commercial environment.
Strong organisational skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Ideally an understanding of or experience within public sector procurement.Job Offer
