Anderson Knight is delighted to be recruiting for an Accounts Administrator on behalf of our reputable client based in Blantyre. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to kickstart their career in a dynamic and fast-paced Accounts Office setting.
Working hours are typically Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00.
Salary - £22,000-£23,000 DOE.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organising, filing, and scanning important documents to maintain orderly records.
• Handling and distributing daily post and internal communications.
• Assisting with general office administration to support the wider team.
• Retrieve and review bank statements.
• Enter and reconcile receipts using Sage 200 software.
• Link receipts to relevant invoices and ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Allocate transactions to appropriate supplier accounts.
• Maintain and update the Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, and Nominal Ledger.
• Enter invoices onto the Purchase Ledger, ensuring proper coding and categorization.
• Record cheques and other financial transactions accurately.
• Prepare and maintain the bank book for regular updates on cash flow.
• Reconcile bank transactions with the company's financial records.
• Process and record employee expenses.
• Manage supplier accounts, including allocation and reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate and timely payments to suppliers.
Skills and Attributes We’re Looking For:
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills, with an ability to process information accurately.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
• A positive, can-do attitude paired with a strong work ethic.
• Eagerness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges in a busy office environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• HNC or HND in Accounts.
• Knowledge of purchase or sales ledger.
