Our client an award winning, independent family-owned manufacturing company, are looking to recruit an experienced Welder Fabricator to join their team. The Fabricator/Welder will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in welding and fabrication processes. This role involves working with various materials, primarily steel, to assemble components and create high-quality products. The successful applicant will be detail-oriented and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
The Job
* Weld components using MIG welding techniques and other methods as required.
* Fabricate and assemble metal structures and parts according to specifications.
* Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks.
* Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve any issues that arise.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience in welding, particularly MIG welding.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings.
* Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Ability to work independently while also being a cooperative team player.
* Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Hours of Work are 9am – 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 2pm Friday
