Shift Manager – Food Manufacturing
Location: Redditch
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 14:00 – 22:30
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Shift Manager to join a leading food manufacturing company based in Redditch. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the afternoon shift, driving performance, and maintaining high production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the production process, ensuring all targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are met.
• Lead, manage, and motivate the shift team to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Monitor and improve operational KPIs, including quality, output, and waste reduction.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and performance.
• Conduct performance reviews, training, and development plans for shift staff.
• Collaborate with senior management to report on shift performance and address any challenges.
• Investigate and resolve any operational issues in a timely manner.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Shift Manager, Production Manager, or Supervisor in a food manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing a production team.
Understanding of food safety standards (HACCP, BRC) and health & safety regulations. Proven ability to drive performance and implement continuous improvement strategies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication and organizational abilities.
