Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Salary: £95 - £110 per day

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Godstone. SEN Teaching Assistant – Aspiring Occupational Therapist - Education & Training

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide tailored support to children with SEN, particularly those with physical, sensory, and motor difficulties.
* Assist in implementing occupational therapy programs under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist.
* Support classroom teachers in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
* Help students develop their fine motor skills, coordination, and sensory processing abilities through focused interventions and activities.
* Track progress and provide feedback to the teaching team and therapists to ensure continued support for the students.
* Foster a caring and encouraging environment for students, building trust and confidence.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

* A keen interest in pursuing a career as an Occupational Therapist.
* Previous experience working with children, especially those with SEN, is desirable but not essential.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to engage with children in a positive and supportive way.
* Team player with the ability to adapt to the unique needs of each child.
* Eagerness to learn and grow professionally in the field of SEN and occupational therapy.

Desirable:

* A relevant qualification in education, child development, or a related field (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
* Understanding of SEN and sensory or motor skill development is a plus.
