Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Salary: £90 - £120 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND school in Walsall, supporting with their recruitment for a SEND Teaching Assistant/TA. The setting is centred on ensuring children can develop their knowledge and develop them Morally, within social settings and to see personal growth.

The school is seeking an empathetic team player to take on this short-term role, although there is potential for this to become a long-term placement for the right SEND Teaching Assistant/TA. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant/TA will be a holistic approach to there work and help the children grow academically and personally.

The position will involve working with students aged 5 - 16 who have educational health care plans and will need to be able to show positive behaviour management and de-escalation techniques.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

Experience working within therapeutic models

Experience working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviours

Level 2 or 3 CACHE or equivalent

Team-Teach or CPI qualifications desirable
