We are working with a well-respected contractor with an office base on the outskirts of Newcastle upon Tyne to recruit and experienced Contracts Manager to join the Senior Leadership Team

Previous experience of
* Civil Engineering * Commercial Civil Engineering * Roads and Sewers * Industrial Civils * Industrial Buildings * Reinforced Concrete * Earthworks * Management of company`s own labour and plant * Liaising with design team * QEMS procedures * Programming & Planning

Main duties of the role will be:
* Assume responsibility for numerous projects from start to finish
* Ensure Pre-Construction and Site Documentation is in place prior to site start
* Be the technical point of contact for the project site team
* Make sure plant, manpower and materials are ordered in a timely fashion
* Ensure project it delivered to the master programme
* Liaise with Design Team.
* Management of On Site Delivery Team
* Assume ultimate responsibility for Health and Safety and ensure the highest standards are upheld
* Subcontractor Selection and Management
* Work with the client to agree additional works
* Ensure temporary works register is in place and fixed as per designs
* Compile contractor reports and dropline programme for client meetings
