About the Role
We are hiring an M&E Engineer with an Electrical Bias to join our team at a large, high-profile site near Grays, Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys being active on their feet and thrives in a hands-on environment. Working on a static site, you will be responsible for a mix of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a wide range of building services, ensuring smooth and efficient operations throughout.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, with additional support across mechanical and general building services.
* Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of building services systems and equipment.
* Uphold health and safety regulations, ensuring all work is compliant and meets industry standards.
* Complete accurate records of all maintenance work, ensuring clear communication with site management.
* Be actively involved on-site, monitoring systems, and responding promptly to maintenance requests.
Requirements
* Qualifications: 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, and City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
* Strong experience in electrical and general M&E maintenance, ideally in a large-site or facilities management setting.
* Physically capable and comfortable being on your feet throughout the day.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong commitment to health and safety practices.
* Excellent communication and record-keeping skills.
