Tendered Service Payments Assistant
£27,920 per annum - Grade 3
Leeds / Hybrid Full time / Permanent - 37 hours per week

We currently have a vacancy for a Tendered Service Payments Assistant to join our Operator Payments Team. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our small, vibrant team responsible for the reimbursement of all bus operators running services throughout West Yorkshire.
In this role, you will assist with the payment of all tendered schools and non-school services, transforming data from award letters and reports into financial information which drives the payments process, and enables processing contributions from District Councils and other third parties. With the upcoming shift towards Franchising just around the corner, this is a great opportunity for our new Tendered Services Payments Assistant to help maintain the integrity of our procedures as well as assisting with updating our systems to enable a seamless transition to a new, improved way of working as we progress into a new chapter for the Transport Industry in our region.

The Role
Reporting into the Tendered Services Payments Officer, your key responsibilities will include:
· Assisting in the preparation and checking of the tendered services contractual payments made to the bus operators each month
· Producing invoices recharging tendered services payments to third parties where applicable
· Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the integrity of data is maintained and updated accurately within a timely manner

About You
You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience:
· Educated to GCSE or equivalent relevant education / experience
· Proficient user of Microsoft Excel, understanding complex formulae and multiple functions
· Good organisational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines
· The ability to work off your own initiative
· Good communication skills
· Knowledge of the Transport industry is beneficial, but not essential
