The Role

Our client is looking for a determined and ambitious Manager to join their Leeds office. This is a critical role within their Business Services team.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a diverse portfolio of accounting clients, including basic, large, and complex assignments.
Ensure the completion and submission of financial statements, business taxation, and personal taxation for all clients in your portfolio.
Brief and manage Business Services Assistants/Seniors at the start of assignments, oversee the team during assignments, and participate in the completion process.
Attend and contribute to client meetings as required by the Business Services Partner.
Provide technical support to Business Services Assistants/Seniors.
Raise fees for the portfolio for approval by the Business Services Partner and create action plans to prevent future overruns.
Manage workflow and staff development related to your portfolio.
Develop and expand the accounting portfolio and business services.The Candidate

The ideal candidate will:

Be ICAS/ACCA/ACA qualified with experience in a professional accounting environment.
Effectively manage and support colleagues under their supervision, ensuring their development (experience in conducting appraisals/reviews is advantageous).
Be determined and motivated to provide exemplary client service.
Demonstrate a positive attitude when interacting with colleagues and clients and use initiative to solve problems/queries.
Be organized with experience in workload planning, prioritizing deadlines, and delegating work.
Be self-confident, approachable, and capable of building long-term client relationships.
Be knowledgeable about applicable accounting standards.The Benefits
