Electrical Design Engineer
Employment type: Permanent, full-time
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Location: Washington, Tyne and Wear. Hybrid working is available.
Travel will be required on to go to client sites when necessary.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

The Role:
Support the Lead Electrical Engineer and the wider team with the development of energy-saving solutions.
Provide help from the initial idea to final stages of development.
Develop solutions to energy and water efficiency upgrade challenges.
Assist with site surveys and building reports for solution development.
Produce and design calculations for different projects.
To be aware of the environmental aspects and impacts relevant to the work of the job holder as well as ensuring compliance with any environmental legislation that is applicable to the job.
Energy modelling and savings calculations.
Assist in optimising the design processes that are currently in place.
Ensure all aspects of new and ongoing projects are in line with up-to-date best practice industry standards.
Experience/Skills Required:
Experience of designing renewable energy heating systems or building services related designs is preferable.
Knowledge and experience of using AutoCAD and Revit is preferable.
Electrical Engineering degree (related degrees will be considered).
Knowledge of mechanical engineering is preferable but not essential.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to talk to clients.
Good time management skills.
Experience with MS Office (Excel and Word).
