Seeking an astute construction Estimator – Swindon”
This leading, locally based contractor, operating within public and private sectors constructing some of the region’s most innovative and landmark buildings, are looking to strengthen their team with the appointment of an experienced Estimator.

You will join a contractor who provide a range of services to their clients who have high levels of repeat business, as well as being part of a well-respected team operating with national and regional framework partners!  

The Job
In this important, varied and stimulating role, you will co-ordinate estimating resources in conjunction with the pre-construction team as well as personally preparing and producing competitive bids which take account of all project risks and customer requirements.

You will be responsible for producing and coordinating information for tenders. This includes; Tender analysis adjudication sheet, Preliminary breakdown, Sub-contractors' comparison and Identify risks and opportunities. Engaging with supply chain members to ensure a robust compliant tender response, liaise with design team members to ascertain pertinent design information, provide cost and construction proposals for including in submittal documents and draw together tender information.

The Person
Applications are sought from individuals with a proven track record of estimating in construction projects up to £5m, strong negotiating skills, understanding of alternative forms of procurement including frameworks, two stage and design & build and detailed understanding of ConQuest estimating software and standard Microsoft IT packages. Degree / HNC in Building Studies or similar.  MCIOB, MRICS desirable.
