Role OverviewReporting to the Maintenance Team Leader you will ensure that the facilities, equipment and machinery is effectively and efficiently maintained in a safe and cost-effective manner.
The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 procedures to promote process stability and capability.
Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance strategy, systems, processes and procedures to improve equipment reliability.
Identify equipment issues and advise on work needed and opportunities for improvement.
Trouble shoots equipment/process problems to root cause in conjunction with team members to ensure rapid resolution of problems and ensure team members learn from the experience.
Involved in carrying out Criticality/Obsolescence assessments and implementing action plans.

We are looking for a permanent Maintenance Shift Cover Engineer to join our growing and highly skilled Engineering team.
As the Maintenance Shift Cover Engineer you will be working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern in a high tempo engineering environment, rotating 06:00/18:00 - 18:00/06:00 based at our Telford site.
Essential SkillsEssential
Minimum 5 year’s experience working as a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer.
Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualified in both mechanical and electrical multi-skilled disciplines.
Highly developed fault finding and problem-solving skills.
Experience in PLC fault finding and diagnostics.
Ability to read complex electrical and engineering drawings.Desirable
HND/Degree qualified Electrical Engineer
Good IT skills - MS Office
Able to understand and change ladder logic.
Able to write PLC programs.
Experience in software / hardware integrationAny maintenance engineer from a manufacturing environment welcome – FMCG, Food, plastic, packaging, distribution, automotive, metals, Forces etc
