Role - Senior Science Technician
Location - Dover

Hours - Full time
Daily Rate - £100 - £120 a day depending on experience
Tradewind Recruitment are actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Science Technician to join a vibrant secondary school in the Dover area. As a vital member of the Science Department, you will play a key role in supporting colleagues and the students in their practical laboratory work.
Key Responsibilities As A Senior Science Technician
Preparation of Materials - prepare and set up equipment and materials and Science experiments and demonstrations according to curriculum requirements
Maintenance of equipment - ensure all laboratory equipment is well maintained, calibrated and safe for use by students and staff
Health and Safety - Implement and uphold strict health and safety protocols in the laboratory including the safe disposal of hazardous materials
Support for Teachers - assist Science teachers during lessons, providing technical support and troubleshooting as needed
Inventory Management - Maintain accurate records of laboratory supplies and equipment and assist in ordering new materials when necessaryQualifications and Skills
Experience of working in a laboratory environment, preferably in an educational setting for at least 2 years
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures related to laboratory work
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Hold or be willing to apply an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
