Teaching Assistant - Ashton

Location: Ashton, Greater Manchester
Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualification (£14-£16.5)

Empowering Learning is currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant (Level 1-4) to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Ashton. This role is based in an Upper KS2 classroom (Year 5 or Year 6), where you will play a key role in supporting pupils' learning and development.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Teaching Assistant to make a real difference in the classroom, helping children to reach their full potential. The school is looking for someone proactive, enthusiastic, and able to build strong relationships with both pupils and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing support to the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons
Assisting small groups and individual pupils with their learning
Supporting pupils with additional needs, ensuring all children are engaged and progressing
Helping with classroom management and behaviour strategies
Preparing learning resources and creating a positive learning environment
Encouraging independence and confidence in studentsRequirements:

Recent experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting (essential)
Experience supporting children in Upper KS2 (desirable)
A relevant TA qualification (Level 1-4) or equivalent experience
A proactive and positive approach to supporting children's learning
Strong communication and teamwork skills
